The 2019 edition of the Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) which will be hosted in Manila gets another boost as leading Southeast Asian dry cell and storage battery manufacturer PINACO sealed a platinum sponsorship for the biennial regional sporting tournament.
The deal was formalized during the signing ceremony held last October 17, 2019 in Shangri La at the Fort in Taguig along with Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) and Mediapro.
Vietnam-based PINACO has been involved in several regional and international sporting events through the years and their involvement in the 2019 SEA Games sets a lead-up to the 2021 edition which will take place in Vietnam.
“It is such a great honor and pride for PINACO to be one of the official Platinum Partners of this event in the hopes of contributing to the success of the Games, especially given that the 30th SEA Games is the largest sports event in the region,” said Tran Thanh Van, General Director of PINACO.
The company’s involvement in the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines is one of their biggest yet in terms of being a sponsor in sporting events. Their latest international presence has been felt during the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup which is Southeast Asia’s biggest international football competition.
During an interview after the signing event, PINACO’s Tran Thanh Van shard a bit of what is in store come the SEA Games, with the company set to lineup a series of activities for the fans.
“We will [set] a lot of activities in the Philippines [SEA Games], for example, we will have booths in the fan-zone where we will have sporting activities for the fans. And as a platinum partner, PINACO will also have presence in TV commercial spots and in-venue ads as well.”
The 30th Southeast Asian Games will begin on November 30, 2019 and will run until December 11.
