AboitizLand Football Cup Luzon 2019

21st AboitizLand Football Cup returns to Luzon

The Philippines’ longest running grassroots football tournament, the AboitizLand Football Cup (AFC in short, and formerly known as Aboitiz Football Cup) gears up for its second Luzon edition which kicks-off on October 13.

As AboitizLand celebrates its 25th year milestone, along with the rebrand and expansion of its football competition in partnership with RSA 1 Group, the Luzon tournament, which will be hosted at the Aboitiz Pitch in The Outlets at Lipa, is going to be more focused featuring seven-a-side festival format for all categories.

“With the AboitizLand Football Cup and the Aboitiz Pitch as our home venue, we hope to reinforce the Aboitiz Group’s objective of supporting the country’s grassroots football development, as well as in promoting continuing education for football practitioners in the region,” said AboitizLand’s Commercial Business Unit Head, Eduardo Aboitiz.

“The Aboitiz Football Cup has been providing a platform to highlight the significance of sports in value formation. Beyond honing physical skills, participants are taught the importance of discipline, teamwork, and respect, which are tools to leverage their everyday lives outside of the football pitch,” added Aboitiz.

A 90-minute drive away from Manila, the Aboitiz Pitch is the largest artificial turf in Luzon. The facility adheres to global standards, as testified by its hosting of national football tournaments such as the Philippines Football League, the Youth Football League, and even local competitions such as Lipa Football League.

The AboitizLand Football Cup will be held on Saturdays and Sundays beginning October 13 and will continually unfold until mid-December. For more information about registration details, visit the AboitizLand Football Cup’s official Facebook page.
